YTD Monthly Summary
"If you can't fee a hundred people, then feed just one." Mother Teresa |
| Prior to February 20, 2012 h.o.p.e. provided to the client a standard food box which included items that a family of four could use to prepare at least three complete meals. This could include hot and cold cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, soups, and pasta to supplement the family's nutritional needs during the week. When available, h.o.p.e. also distributes bread, milk, meat, fish, miscellaneous produce, and toiletry items.
During the Friday distribution, the supplies frequently ran low, well before the official pantry hours have ended. In 2011, h.o.p.e. provided food for 21,682 individuals.
h.o.p.e. is in the process of expanding its fundraising and outreach efforts to ensure adequate food supplies in order to meet the recent increases of families needing food. This is accomplished by partnering with other food pantries. |

Shari (a client of the Food Pantry)
"With a very limited income and high medical expenses there are times that I just cannot afford to go to the grocery store especially near the end of the month. Many times the h.o.p.e. Pantry has made it possible for me to have nutritious meals when there was little in my house. I am grateful for this generous gift of food."
